Instruction is provided by professional artists with extensive teaching experience.  Materials are included in all class prices, unless indicated otherwise.  Partial and full scholarships are available.   See you in class!

August 2010 Classes:

Sculptural Vessels

Teresa DeSantis focuses on hand building sculptural vessel forms.  Wheel-throwing is available for those interested.  This 2 hour Tuesday evening class is held from 6:30-8:30PM Aug 3,10, 17 & 24.  Cost is $100.  Minimum Class is 5 students.

Sculpting with Sculpy– Stephanie Reeves

Saturdays August 7th & 14th from 10am-noon
Learn to sculpt with polyclay– what it is, basic techniques and tools. Incorporate wire, beads and other found objects. The fee is $60. Minimum class is 5 students.

Papers with Pizazz– Marie Cummings

Saturdays August 21st & 28th from 9am-noon
Learn how to use everyday objects to make texture and unique stamps, acrylic mediums for texture and how to layer watercolor and acrylic paint to create unique papers to use in your art! The fee is $70.
Minimum class is 5 students.

Songwriting– Jennifer Raphaelson

Saturdays August 7, 14, 21 & 28th from 1pm-3pm
This workshop is designed for those who have their own instruments, can sing and play simultaneously and have a good working knowledge of an instrument that can play chords. Students will learn: how to write lyrics using active and evocative language, write an instrumental part to accompany lyrics understand the theory of I, IV, and V chords. Fee is $65. Minimum class is 5 students.

Figure Drawing Sessions

Monday Evening August 2, 9, 16 & 23 6-8pm
Build your skills drawing from a live models. The fee is $60. Minimum class is 5 students.

Evening Watercolor

August 4, 11, 18, & 25 6:30-8:30PM

Class for all skill levels. This 4 week class is on Wednesday evenings.  Barbara Ardan’s focus is on watercolor technique with emphasis on color and experimentation. The cost is $60. Class minimum 5.
